Coronavirus Update

Here at Portland Nursing Home, the health and well being of our residents is our prime concern. As such, we are constantly monitoring the present situation regarding the Coronavirus.

Therefore as of Wednesday March the 18th we will be following the government guidelines and not be allowing any visitors into the building at all.

We have not taken this decision lightly and appreciate that this will cause some distress but we feel that this is a necessary step to take which reduces the risk of introducing Coronavirus into the home.

In addition, visits from the local community and external entertainment into the home have been cancelled for the foreseeable future.

Our staff will do all they can to ensure that life in our home remains as comfortable and sociable as possible and we will ensure that vital medical visits are still made.

The care of your family member is our prime concern and we would appreciate your support with these measures.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.

Yours sincerely,

Kaye Fogarty, Registered Manager
